Acceptance
By using SVG Lab (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, the simplest answer is to close the tab.
Eligibility
To purchase a paid plan, you must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, or have a parent or guardian's consent to do so. The free plan has no age-related purchase restriction.
The Service
SVG Lab is a browser-based vector editor that runs locally on your device. The free plan includes local editing and exports. Paid subscriptions add account and cloud features as they become available. Features, behaviour, and availability may change as the product improves.
Your content
You own everything you create with SVG Lab. We claim no rights, no licence, and no ownership over the SVGs, drawings, designs, or other content you produce using the Service. Unsigned work is not saved after refresh or close; signed-in cloud projects are stored in your account.
Acceptable use
SVG Lab is a creative tool. You agree not to use it to:
- Produce content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property.
- Produce content depicting child sexual abuse, real violence against people, or other material that is illegal where you live.
- Attempt to attack the Service, the hosting infrastructure, or other users, including denial-of-service attempts, scraping at abusive rates, or trying to extract source from servers we run.
- Misrepresent SVG Lab as your own product (e.g. rehosting the static files under your own brand for profit). Personal forks of the editor for learning or experimentation are fine; this does not extend to the MCP server, its design engine or its guides (see "MCP server and API" below).
- Share a single paid account's login across multiple people or organizations. Paid plans are for one account holder.
- Script or automate requests to exceed or game the limits on metered features (exports, auto-trace, AI generations) rather than paying for the plan tier that includes that usage.
- Resell or sublicense access to a paid account.
MCP server and API
SVG Lab offers an MCP server and an HTTP API that let an AI assistant work in SVG Lab for you, using a key or an authorised connection tied to your account. The artwork you make through them is yours, exactly as under "Your content" above. The service itself is not: its design guides, tool descriptions, server responses and the design engine behind them are ours, provided for you to use while you work. When using the MCP server or API, you agree not to:
- Extract, copy, collect or republish the design guides, tool descriptions, server responses or engine code, in whole or in substantial part, for example by reading the guides in bulk or recording responses to rebuild them elsewhere.
- Resell, sublicense or offer the guides, tool descriptions, server responses or engine code, or access to them, as part of another product or service.
- Use the guides, tool descriptions, server responses or engine code to train, fine-tune or evaluate an AI model, or to build a competing design tool.
- Share your MCP key or an authorised (OAuth) connection with anyone else, publish it, or build it into software other people use. A key is for your own account and your own assistants. If a key is exposed, create a new one from MCP in the editor's account menu, which revokes the old one.
- Work around the limits on the MCP server or API, such as the free trial, daily caps, rate limits or browser time, for example by using several accounts or keys.
Every account gets a one-time free trial of 100 MCP requests. The trial does not renew. After that, MCP requests come with the Plus and Max plans, or as top-ups: one-time purchases of requests that never expire, are not tied to a subscription and are non-refundable. One tool call is one request, and calls that fail are not counted.
We meter and monitor MCP and API use to keep the service working and to enforce these terms, and we may limit, suspend or revoke a key or account that breaks them.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Software has bugs. Save your work; export often.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the SVG Lab maintainers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business (even if advised of the possibility of such damages) arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
If a court finds that liability cannot be excluded entirely, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding twelve months.
Changes to the Service
We may add, change, remove, or pause features at any time. We try not to break things. If a change deletes user data (which may be stored in your browser), it will be flagged before it happens whenever practical.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the new terms. Significant changes will be flagged in the editor itself.
Termination
You can stop using SVG Lab at any time by closing the tab. We may suspend or restrict access for users who violate these terms, attack the infrastructure, or use the Service for clearly illegal purposes.
Filing a payment dispute (chargeback) that's found to be fraudulent or made in bad faith (for example, disputing a charge for a subscription period you verifiably used) is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension or termination and denial of future service. Governing law
These terms are governed by general principles of international consumer law applicable to free online services. Any dispute will be resolved on a good-faith basis between you and the maintainer; if that fails, the courts with jurisdiction over the maintainer's residence will hear the matter.
Billing and cancellation
All purchases, plans and top-ups, are final and non-refundable. You can cancel a subscription at any time; it stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Top-up requests never expire and are non-refundable. This does not affect any rights you may have under the law of your country.
